Workplace wellbeing support for London businesses

London moves fast. Targets move faster.

For executive leaders, founders, senior managers and HR teams, the pressure can feel constant. Busy teams, demanding clients, long commutes, hybrid working, back-to-back meetings and high expectations can all become part of the same problem.

At GYST, we help London businesses build resilient leaders and healthier teams without turning wellbeing into a tick-box exercise.

We work with ambitious executive leaders to connect wellbeing, culture and commercial performance. That means practical support, honest conversations and tools your people can actually use when pressure hits.

No fluffy clichés. No awkward wellbeing theatre. Just smart, direct support for people who need to perform without burning out.

Why workplace wellbeing matters for London businesses

London is home to many high-pressure working environments, from professional services and finance to technology, media, property and fast-growth companies.

The Greater London Authority’s labour market projections show that London’s labour market is expected to continue shifting towards business services. Professional, scientific, technical and real estate activities are projected to add 373,000 jobs from 2024 levels by 2050, while information and communication is projected to add 164,000 jobs over the same period.

These are sectors where performance often depends on clear thinking, strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and the ability to handle pressure well.

But pressure can quickly become unsustainable when it is not recognised or managed properly.

The Health and Safety Executive’s work-related health statistics reported that 964,000 workers in Great Britain were suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2024/25. This shows why workplace stress is not just a wellbeing issue. It is a leadership, culture and performance issue too.

For London businesses, practical stress management, burnout prevention and leadership support can help teams stay focused, resilient and better equipped to perform in demanding environments.

GYST helps London leaders and teams understand how pressure affects behaviour, communication and performance, giving people practical tools to manage stress before it becomes burnout.

Workplace wellbeing services available in London

GYST offers a range of workplace wellbeing, stress management and leadership development services for London businesses.

Whether you need a one-off workshop, targeted stress management training, support for high performers or longer-term leadership development, Katie can help your leaders and teams understand what happens under pressure and how to respond in a healthier, more effective way.

The Meltdown workshop

The Meltdown is GYST’s signature immersive workshop.

It is an escape-room-style leadership challenge designed to place teams under pressure so they can see how they really communicate, collaborate and make decisions when the stakes rise.

It is fast, fun, challenging and revealing.

For London leadership teams, The Meltdown can help expose:

  • stress behaviours
  • communication habits
  • decision-making patterns
  • group dynamics
  • psychological safety
  • leadership blind spots
  • how people respond when pressure increases

This is not a passive wellbeing session. It is a practical mirror for what happens in real working life.

Stress Behaviours in Leaders

Leaders often know what good leadership looks like. The problem is what happens when pressure hits.

GYST’s stress behaviours work helps leaders understand how they respond when stress starts to build. That might include overworking, control, avoidance, people-pleasing, shutdown, reactivity or trying to carry too much alone.

For London businesses, this can be particularly valuable for senior teams managing demanding clients, growth, restructure, deadlines or board-level pressure.

The aim is to help leaders recognise their own patterns earlier, understand the impact on others and build healthier ways to lead.

Explore leadership coaching to support this work.

Real Resilience Under Pressure

Resilience is not about pushing through everything.

Real resilience is about understanding the difference between performance pressure and threat pressure, then building habits that help people recover, respond and perform sustainably.

GYST’s resilience workshops help leaders and teams understand what pressure does to the body, brain and behaviour.

This can support teams who are busy, capable and committed, but starting to show signs of strain.

Burnout Prevention for High Performers

High performers can be difficult to support because they often look like they are coping.

They hit deadlines. They say yes. They take on more. They keep delivering.

Until they cannot.

GYST’s burnout prevention work helps high performers and their leaders understand the burnout journey, spot warning signs and put practical prevention strategies in place.

This is particularly relevant for London teams where ambition, client expectations and pace can make overwork feel normal.

Leadership Goal Setting and Alignment

Pressure often increases when teams are unclear.

GYST’s leadership goal setting and alignment work helps teams create clarity around priorities, execution, collaboration and accountability.

This can be useful for leadership teams that are busy but not aligned, moving quickly but not communicating clearly, or working hard without enough shared direction.

Stress management training in London

GYST’s stress management training helps leaders and teams understand the difference between healthy pressure and harmful stress.

Pressure can sharpen thinking. It can create focus, motivation and momentum.

Stress is different. When pressure is not managed properly, it starts to affect decision-making, communication, energy, motivation and performance.

Our stress management training gives your people the tools to spot this earlier and act before it becomes a bigger issue.

Training can support:

  • senior leadership teams
  • HR and people teams
  • managers responsible for team performance
  • high-pressure sales teams
  • client-facing teams
  • fast-growth companies
  • teams going through change

Sessions are direct, practical and built around real working life. Your people will not leave with a PDF they never open again. They will leave with clearer language, better self-awareness and tools they can use straight away.

Stress management training for leaders in London

Leaders set the tone.

If leaders are overwhelmed, reactive or constantly firefighting, the whole team feels it.

GYST’s stress management training for leaders gives managers and senior teams practical tools to manage their own stress and spot signs of stress in the people they lead.

This training can help leaders:

  • understand the difference between pressure and stress
  • recognise personal stress behaviours
  • spot stress red flags in their teams
  • understand burnout triggers
  • use motivation frameworks more effectively
  • support people without ignoring performance
  • make clearer decisions under pressure

This is a practical investment in stronger leadership, healthier teams and more sustainable performance.

Stress management training for teams in London

GYST’s stress management training for teams helps employees understand how stress develops, how burnout happens and what they can do to protect their wellbeing and performance.

The training can cover:

  • the stress spectrum
  • pressure versus stress
  • signs and symptoms of burnout
  • daily habits for stress mitigation
  • burnout prevention techniques
  • personal stress responses
  • becoming more stress-resilient

This is useful for London teams managing heavy workloads, demanding clients, rapid change or long periods of high performance.

High performer and sales stress management training in London

Sales teams and high performers often work with constant targets, emotional pressure and the need to stay composed in demanding situations.

GYST’s high performer and sales stress management training helps teams understand the stressors linked to performance, decision-making, emotional resilience and daily sales activity.

This training can help teams:

  • understand the impact of stress on decision-making
  • identify key stressors in high-pressure roles
  • maintain composure under pressure
  • build emotional resilience
  • develop daily habits that support consistent performance
  • reduce the risk of burnout in high-performing teams

For London organisations with sales teams, client-facing teams or ambitious performers, this can be a powerful way to protect both results and wellbeing.

6-month leadership support programme in London

Some leadership challenges need more than a one-off session.

GYST’s 6-month leadership support programme is designed for leaders who want structured support over time. The programme includes workshops, masterclasses, online videos, reflective exercises and practical support to help leaders manage stress, communicate clearly and lead high-performing teams through pressure.

The programme can support leaders to:

  • manage their own stress more effectively
  • lead through intense, high-pressure situations
  • communicate with clarity and compassion
  • strengthen team dynamics
  • guide teams in managing stress
  • prevent burnout and maintain productivity
  • create structure around goals and performance

This is suited to leaders who want deeper, longer-term development rather than a standalone workshop.

Leadership coaching for London executives and senior teams

Leadership in London can be intense.

You may be managing growth, restructuring teams, handling board pressure, leading through change, or trying to protect team morale while still hitting commercial targets.

GYST’s leadership coaching gives senior people the space and structure to understand how they operate under pressure.

This support can help leaders:

  • communicate with more clarity
  • make better decisions under pressure
  • understand their own stress behaviours
  • spot early signs of burnout in themselves and others
  • lead teams with more confidence
  • build healthier performance habits
  • stop relying on adrenaline as a leadership strategy

The aim is not to remove pressure. That is not realistic.

The aim is to help leaders use pressure well, without letting it turn into stress, poor decision-making or burnout.

Talks and webinars for London businesses

GYST also delivers talks and webinars for organisations that want to open up a practical conversation around stress, burnout, resilience, leadership and workplace wellbeing.

These can work well as part of:

  • wellbeing weeks
  • leadership development programmes
  • HR initiatives
  • team away days
  • company events
  • management training
  • internal learning programmes

Talks and webinars can be a useful first step if you want to introduce GYST’s approach before committing to a workshop or longer programme.

Workplace wellbeing that connects to business performance

Wellbeing should not sit in a corner away from the rest of the business.

If people are exhausted, overwhelmed or unclear, performance suffers. If leaders are stressed, that stress often cascades through the organisation. If managers do not know how to spot warning signs, problems build quietly until they become expensive.

GYST helps London businesses treat wellbeing as part of performance, culture and leadership.

That means looking at the real causes of stress, not just offering surface-level perks.

Who we work with in London

GYST is a strong fit for London organisations where pressure is part of the job, but burnout cannot be part of the plan.

This includes:

  • founders and co-founders
  • CEOs and directors
  • senior management teams
  • HR leaders and people teams
  • scaling businesses
  • professional services firms
  • sales-led organisations
  • high-performing teams
  • teams going through change

If your people are capable but stretched, driven but tired, or performing well on paper while struggling behind the scenes, GYST can help you get a clearer view of what is really happening.

Katie was a keynote speaker for my latest in person event for Women In Recruitment leadership. Katie designed a session which was interactive and totally engaged every single founder in the room. The theme was “meltdown” which enabled us to understand our behaviors when under duress, in stressful situations and how this impacts our well-being, our decision-making, but also the impact it has on our team members. I must say that Katie has been one of the best speakers we’ve ever had for the community. the feedback was instantly unbelievable, and everyone was so grateful for her insights and techniques and each one of us has walked away with a better understanding of how we can approach stressful situations I would highly recommend Katie for any business that is looking to understand how to get the best out of its people, including leaders and ensure long-term well-being, which has a direct impact on the performance of the company from a profitability point of view, but also from a reputation and EVP perspective too.

Forget your typical corporate training. This workshop throws you into a high-pressure, escape-room scenario. It’s fast, fun and eye-opening. It forces you to see how you behave when the clock is ticking, and gives practical 'ABCD' tools to reset, pause, and prevent burnout in the real world.

I was delighted to recently take part in a uniquely combined ‘Pressure Points’ Meltdown/ Padel event hosted by Gyst. A willingness to learn, some fierce competition, introverts reverting to type trying to solve problems in their head, and finally more openness and communication meant my team finally found a solution before a full meltdown occurred. The best part for me? The debrief after the adrenaline. Honesty, transparency, awareness, learning and unlearning. Becoming more self aware under pressure. Building trust- a fundamental baseline for high performing teams. I highly recommend Meltdown to new and established teams from C-suite to the shop floor who are looking to build trust, transparency and want to help each other grow.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much Jennifer! So glad you enjoyed Meltdown and the learnings. Absolutely loved having you there 🙂

Katie recently delivered a stress and burnout awareness session for our central office teams. We had fantastic feedback from colleagues who found the session engaging, insightful and practical. Katie is a brilliant facilitator, sharing her expertise in a relatable and honest way that helps participants feel comfortable to interact and ask questions.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much Rachel! Loved coming into Gym Group and speaking to the team. You're doing such brilliant things over there.

Katie delivered two standout sessions for Stress Awareness Month. One for leaders and one open to everyone , and both were packed with practical takeaways. She has a brilliant way of making stress feel understandable and manageable with the key takeaway from both that pressure isn’t the enemy, it’s unmanaged pressure that causes the issues. Most of all, Katie’s delivery is engaging and interactive; it feels like a conversation, not a lecture and people leave with actions they can genuinely try the same day.
Response from the owner:Thanks Alan! As always, love working with NatWest and the team there. Really glad the sessions landed well and were engaging.

Katie’s burnout session was fantastic warm, relatable and genuinely engaging. She made the whole hour really interactive, encouraging colleagues to reflect, share and take part, which helped everyone feel included and supported. One of the most helpful parts was when she talked us through practical steps to recognise the early signs of stress and what to do in the moment. These were simple, realistic things our colleagues could start using straight away.

I recently worked with Katie and I can't recommend her enough. As a solo business owner, dad, husband and everything else in between life was getting a bit on top of me. Stress, anxiety and bordering on burn out is where this left me. Although my business was going well, how I was feeling in myself wasn't right so I chose to do something about it. Over 4-5 months and several sessions with Katie, she's helped me to reframe how I think, how I act and importantly how to cope with triggers. She's easy to talk to, down to earth, extremely knowledgeable and you just know she genuinely cares. If you're feeling like you need some help to manage what I've described, you'll be in safe hands. Thanks for everything

What can I say, I stumbled across Katie via a mutual recruitment contact on LinkedIn and instantly loved her energy and approach to mental health. Being a recruiter myself, loved the fact that she can help people in my position navigate the stresses or the role. With this in mind, I felt comfortable reaching out to Katie and asked her if she would present to the members of my community platform and she said yes! Fast forward to now and Katie has just delivered an engaging and informative live session that will not only help my members navigate challenging market conditions, but also helped me notice my own bad habits and that it's time to make some changes. Thanks again Katie! x

I've been following Katie on LinkedIn and Instagram for sometime now. She is such a genuine person and I get so much from the amazing content she shares that I asked her to run a session for the TEAM Network on stress in the workplace. It was an amazing webinar which really resonated with lots of our membership and suppliers. If you or your staff are suffering burnout or stress related issues, tackling the problem head on and engaging with Katie is one of the best things you can do for your business. 79% of the workforce are feeling burnt out at the moment - so make sure you are doing something to help! Thank you Katie for being a beacon of light for the TEAM Network and me personally. Andy
Response from the owner:Thanks Andrew! Absolutely loved supporting the TEAM Network and glad to hear that you got a lot out of it 🙂
